Savannah, Georgia! Love the Southern Style!

My husband and I headed down South for a nice vacation. We decided to spend some time in Savannah, Georgia. I had been there previously but did not get to spend real time around town. We loved it!

We first decided to take a trolley around town and it was a great idea. We got to see the sights and also hop on and off so we could ride it all day and decide really where we wanted to go. We rode it around once and then got off at Forsyth Park. Here are some pictures:

Also in Forsyth Park!
We then decided to eat the Pirate's House since it was a tourist area that we could eat in and then walk down on the riverfront. The Pirate's House buffet was okay, it was a neat house to be in and walk around. I felt like the buffet was a little tight and possibly could have two. We liked walking to the riverfront as it was gorgeous to walk down and go in and out of shops. We then walked to Leopold's which is famous for its ice cream! It is worth a walk if you are hungry for some ice cream!

We really liked historical cities and this city was perfect us! I really recommend one place for dinner down in their city market area and that is Vinnie Van Go-Go's. They only take cash...but it is GOOD NY style pizza. It is cheap, you can walk in pay for a slice (wait 10 minutes) and then get your slice to go. It is so good! I dream of this place and cannot wait to go back just to eat this pizza! We did a lot in one day, way more than I could even talk about. We went to the Maritime Museum, which was just okay for us. We like boats and things but you have to really like boats to really enjoy the museum.
